The Northern Lights glass paintings are hand-made in Finland. The frame is made of pinewood, and in the middle of the frame there is a slide photo enlargement between two plates of glass.

At the moment the  selection includes fifteen different pictures of Norhtern Lights. The sizes are 12x15 cm and 22x27 cm.

You can place the picture in front of a window, between two window panes, or anywhere you like, where the light comes from behind the picture.  Like any slide, the painting needs the light to shine through it to make the picture visible. Even a small amount of light is enough, to make the picture come out.

Installing is really easy, as the frame is so thick (21 mm) that the picture will stand on its own on a window sill or between the window panes. You can also hang the picture in front of a window or between the panes, with a thin fishing line for example. There are loops for this purpose on the frame.
